Our History

King Hill Baptist Church has a long and rich heritage. In the summer of 1901, KHBC was established as a church plant of Patee Park Baptist. Within three years, it went from meeting in a tent, to borrowing a Methodist church building, to renting a storefront location, to purchasing its first facility.

Continued growth over the years allowed us to in turn establish three more churches and physically, financially and prayerfully support five others. The church's current building at the corner of King Hill Avenue and Massachusetts Street, begun in 1925, has been enlarged and modernized several times. This decade has seen the nursery, children's area, youth rooms, and sanctuary remodeled to better serve the needs of the church. We've always strived to make whatever changes needed to live out God's will, and hope we'll always do so.
