Audrey Tolson serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry here at KHBC. A life long resident of the south side of Saint Joseph, she and husband James have two adult children. Audrey is the owner of a state licensed child care facility (“Sonshine Christian Daycare/Preschool”) which she started in 1993, and has many years' experience teaching Children’s Church and Sunday School classes. Audrey has an Associate's Degree in Child Development from MWSU and an Accredited Nurse Aid certification from the Missouri Health Care Association.

Audrey was raised in church all her life by a loving mother who thought there's never a good reason to skip church services: "If you were sick you went to get prayed for, and if you weren’t sick you had no reason to miss!" She enjoys cooking, scrapbooking and taking photos.

Audrey writes, "I love children with all my heart and think that life gets so busy that we all sometimes forget to give them the love, care and teaching they need, but as the director of the Children’s Ministry I hope I can somehow teach the children how special they are to us and to God, and hope they realize what a special gift they are."
